Crowdfunding Campaign

UPDATE:

Complete: Pre-permit meeting with Boise City, Soils Report, Engineering Review, Full Scale architectural plans.

Upcoming: Finished & updated cost analysis to include updated backstop, rising construction costs, targeted fund-raising, presentation to Building Committee - Sept. 10.

Need: approx $30,000.

Bishop Kelly Softball's Varsity field is about to undergo an incredible, much-needed upgrade and we need your help. We are so thankful for the gifts from past families that provided us with the facility we use today. It has served us well, but it is weathered, worn, and due for an update.

Our priorities for the update include creating safe conditions for practice, building a long-lasting, maintenance free environment, and providing a better experience for our spectators. We intend to attack our priorities in this order so we can build from the inside out, and serve the players first.

We plan to complete our update priorities in two phases. Phase 1 will include re-fencing the third base out-of-play line with CMU block, new dugouts, which include a softball locker room on the back side of the third base dugout, and a new backstop. Phase 2 will include the building of a concession stand complete with bathrooms, a ticket booth, a press box, a coaching office, and, of course, a kitchen for modern-day concessions. This second phase is part of the original BK2020 vision

Are you able to help our players move forward with a tax-deductible donation to this project? Our first phase goal is $65,000. Should we secure in-kind donations of materials or labor, we welcome these gifts that lessen our overall need.  We set a goal to complete our update priorities by February, 2019, to open our season. Please help us to complete our goals and reach out to Bishop Kelly Softball, Missy Nichols, Head Coach, with any questions about the effort.

How can my donation be a benefit to me? The Idaho Education Tax Credit of 50% is still in effect through the end of 2017, as is the normal charitable deduction that can be claimed on both federal and state forms. In short, if you are in the 35% tax bracket, and you make a $1000 contribution, your net out of pocket cost for this donation could be $150. Click here for more information.

Can my employer match my donation? Yes! Sometimes there is a limit on their annual giving, but it's worth checking out the list to double a donation! - Click here for more information.

Thank you for your consideration and support of BK Softball.
